Diversity and Equity for Inclusive, High-Performing Workplaces

Inclusive workplaces are built through consistent behaviour, clear expectations, and fair people practices. In South African workplaces, understanding equity principles and compliance expectations is also important for responsible people management and organisational accountability.

This programme introduces the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in the workplace, focusing on how equitable policies, respectful conduct, and inclusive practices support stronger culture and performance. Students learn how bias can influence decisions and interactions, and how to apply practical approaches to reduce bias, strengthen inclusive communication, and support fair recruitment, progression, and team practice. Applied scenarios and case studies help students practise navigating difficult conversations, responding to conflict respectfully, and contributing to workplace standards that protect dignity and promote accountability. Basic measurement concepts are included to support tracking and reporting on DEI initiatives.

This course is delivered by Accelerate Management School. On successful completion, the certificate is issued by the delivering partner college.
